I recently received a package of these wonderful goodies from my friend, Jenn of Fat Lye Soap, to try out. Not only are her soaps beautiful and the packaging on point, they're all-naturally made and of top notch quality—what I myself specifically seek out when it comes to skin and beauty care. It's clear that a lot of thought and care went into each and every one of these products, and so, I felt they were worth a share here!
There are 3 types of soaps: Botanical, Clay and Brew. Botanical and Clays are soaps colored naturally (usually with some root or seed powder), while Brew soaps are made with beer or coffee. Each contains olive and organic coconut oils, along with at least one butter (shea or cocoa, for example) which lends to these soaps' wonderfully silky smooth quality. They really do leave my skin feeling super moisturized and soft, and the light citrus scent of the pink grapefruit essential oils in the "ROSE" Botanical bar left me feeling so fresh and clean—it was by far, my favorite.
I also loved the natural exfoliants found in the HONEY + BEESWAX and WPG bars—Calendula petals and coffee grinds, both of which are wonderful for your skin.
To top off all of this goodness, nothing goes to waste—the paper used for Fat Lye Soap's packaging is plantable! You place the seed paper under a thin layer of soil, water thoroughly, place in a sunny corner and watch the blooms happen! Just amazing.
Jenn also sent me one of her Raspberry flavored beeswax lip balms, which is naturally tinted with alkanet root powder. With just the perfect amount of sheen and coloring, it's become my go-to balm, leaving my lips feeling soft and moisturized throughout the day.
I don't think I can sing these products' praises enough—they look cool, they leave me feeling great, and they're all-natural. I absolutely love them and highly recommend anyone give them a try.
