Another Halloween. It's easily become one of my favorite holidays, especially with Margot being an official trick-or-treater now. This year was fun. Matt and I started watching Bob's Burgers when I was pregnant with Margot, and it's now become a show we watch and laugh at as a family. Part of our second girl's name is actually coming from one of the characters. A perfect family costume and a baby name—thanks, Bob's Burgers!
This year, my cousins had a joint Halloween/Birthday party for their little girl that we dressed up for over the weekend. Obviously, Peppa Pig was the main attraction. To say Margot's obsessed with her would be an understatement—she couldn't stop hugging her and kept wanting to hold her hand. It was all really sweet. It doesn't get any better than seeing your kid so happy and excited about something. We all had so much fun and ate way too many sweets that night.
Today, we've been relaxing and taking it easy after the excitement of last night's festivities. We let her choose her costume this year—leave it to her to choose a bucket of popcorn as her get up. She's definitely a silly and quirky little girl, so for her to pick this out from a line of costumes was fitting. I must say, she made a cute bucket of popcorn! Instead of staying in our area and having Margot trick or treat by herself, we thought it'd be nice to go out with family and have her experience it with kids. I'm glad we did...she kept up the pace with her older cousin, collecting treats from house to house. She had a really great time and I'm looking forward to doing it all over next year.
